LeBoeuf Little League
September 11, 2008
The LeBoeuf Little League held their monthly meeting at the Waterford Boro Building. Garry Sargent called the meeting to order at 8:12pm.
ATTENDANCE: Stuart Carr, Brian Mitchell, Jeff Kuzma, Bob Young, Ed Vorpagel, Steve Krolczyk, Darlene Haibach, Garry Sargent, Mark Rose, Brian Webster, Mike Falk, Greg Roberts, Colleen Strain
SECRETARY: The minutes were read, corrections made and Stuart Carr motioned to accept, seconded by Jeff Kuzma.
TREASURER’S REPORT: Report was read by Darlene Haibach and approved by Ed Vorpagel and seconded by Mark Rose. See attached report.
SPECIAL PROJECTS: Garry stated gas cards were received from Heard’s for the tractor and zero turn-Greg Roberts to be given one and Garry will have the other. There is fundraiser candy still being sold-it was most recently given to the concession stand for the football games. Darlene will check into new fundraiser candy companies for the upcoming year. Mike Hering has the paperwork completed for Joy Greco; LLL State SAP numbed has been received. Mark Rose spoke with Tom Church regarding the dugouts; there will be apprentice workers who will lay the block. There was a request for someone to take over the Stromboli orders from Paul Peters, who will probably not be in charge for the upcoming year. Greg Roberts felt there should be a Stromboli committee as there is so much work to be done for the fundraiser. A motion was made for the strombolis to be paid for in advance and that the sales should go on for 3 weeks. Jeff Kuzma approved and Darlene Haibach seconded the motion.
PICTURE COMMISSIONER: No new updates.
PUBLIC RELATIONS: Garry said there was a letter from Tom Roberts for the "Little League Road Show" on November 15 from 9-4 at the Randolph Fire Hall in New York.
BASEBALL COMMISSIONER: There will be a coaching training session early in 2009 per Tom Roberts.
SOFTBALL COMMISSIONER: Ed Vorpagel and Jeff Kuzma are presently working on the open gyms for the 2009 year for Robison, Waterford and Mill Village gyms, which will begin early February.
UMPIRE COMMISSIONER: Greg Roberts would like a thank you to go to Mark Welka for his $50 donation letting Mark know how the donation money was used.
TOURNAMENT COMMISSIONER: No new updates.
SCHEDULING COMMISSIONER: No new updates.
UNIFORM COMMISSIONER: Darlene reported 64 pants have not been returned yet. Garry will send an email out again to all of the coaches, reminding the players to return their pants before the November meeting.
FIELD MAINTENANCE: Garry stated the new fencing is completed at the Complex. Jeff Kuzma will contact "S & S Processing Company" in Pittsburgh regarding the silt and dirt mix for the Complex.
INSURANCE COMMISSIONER: Darlene has purchased insurance on the new zero turn mower and is $123 annually. There was discussion regarding asking Waterford Township to clean the ditches at the Complex.
EQUIPMENT COMMISSIONER: Greg Roberts reported the new zero turn mower does a tremendous job cutting the fields.
OLD BUSINESS: No updates.
NEW BUSINESS: An agreement was made to keep the current post office box for LLL and Darlene will pay the bill for the PO Box.
NEXT MEETING DATE/TIME: October 9 at 8:00pm
ADJOURNMENT: A motion was made by Mark Rose to adjourn the meeting at 9:35pm and was seconded by Darlene Haibach.
