LeBoeuf Little League
November 9, 2006
The LeBoeuf Little League held their monthly meeting at the Waterford Boro Building. Garry Sargent called the meeting to order at 7:12 pm.
ATTENDANCE: Jeff Kuzma, Darlene Haibach, Steph Mitchell, Garry Sargent, Brian Webster, Ed Vorpagel, Randy Amon, Brian Mitchell, Brian Smith, Mark Rose, Stuart Carr, Jeff Jones, Joe Welch and Gary Ziegler.
SECRETARY: Minutes were read and approved by Mark Rose and seconded by Edwin Welch.
TREASURER’S REPORT: She attached report; approved by Stuart Carr and seconded by Brian Mitchell.
SPECIAL PROJECTS: Little League Sign up dates will be Saturday, February 17; Tuesday, February 20; and Friday, February 23, 2007. Late Sign up date will be Sunday, March 11, 2007. Draft day will be March 18 and Coaches meeting will be April 22, 2007. The cost will remain as last year; $25/single, $50/family, $20 fundraiser or $36 for Pulako’s candy bars.
PICTURE COMMISSIONER: No report.
PUBLIC RELATIONS: Sold $100 worth of t-shirts.
BASEBALL COMMISSIONER: In-door clinic dates being confirmed between the schools. Clinic start February 2, 2007. Will need to purchase roughly 24 pitch counters for next season.
SOFTBALL COMMISSIONER: In-door clinic dates being confirmed. Robison Elementary gave Jeff a guideline sheet of rules. Need 12" incrediballs for the girls to practice with.
UMPIRE COMMISSIONER: No report.
TOURNAMENT COMMISSIONER: No report.
SCHEDULING COMMISSIONER: No report.
UNIFORM COMMISSIONER: Last year bought no new pants, will need to buy approximately 75 pairs of pants for next season. Great job Brian!!
FIELD MAINTENANCE: May get silt to complex and summit weather permitting on 11/10/06.
EQUIPMENT MAINTENANCE: Have tractor safety switch checked.
INSURANCE COMMISSIONER: Pay $1,100.00 liability portion of the premium any time after 12/31/06.
OLD BUSINESS: Still working on tax-exempt #. A motion was made by Jeff Kuzma to allow Garry to purchase 24 pitch counters, this was seconded by Mark Rose; all in favor.
NEW BUSINESS: Darlene will check on $ for gas well account. Stuart will build approximately 3 6-foot drags and 2 4-foot drags for the fields. Summit Township may try and get the Dugout at the Summit Complex field #3 put into their budget for 2007.
There was a brief discussion in reference to the Junior and Senior girl’s teams for next year. There may be no coaches and no available teams to be formed in these age groups due to other sporting events.
