LeBoeuf Little League

The LeBoeuf Little League held their monthly meeting at the Waterford Boro Building. The meeting was called to order at 8:08pm, by President, Garry Sargent.

ATTENDANCE: Garry Sargent, Mike Thiemann, Heather Johnson, Sam Weaver, Mark Lockhart, Stuart Carr, Brian Mitchell, Jeff Kuzma, Ed Vorpagel, Trevor Donnell, Darlene Haibach, Dave Shields, Mark Rose, Ricky Dauson, Mark, McNerney, Colleen Strain

SECRETARY: The minutes were read by Colleen Strain, corrections made and Brian Mitchell motioned to accept, seconded by Mark Lockhart.

TREASURER’S REPORT: Report was read by Darlene Haibach and approved by Ed Vorpagel and seconded by Trevor Donnell. See attached report.

SPECIAL PROJECTS: There were 411 sign ups. The left over pants will be taken to Picture Day, May 1, to be sold there. The Coaches’ Meeting will be March 28 at 6:00 at the Summit Township Building. Jane’s Stromboli will be sold again for $3.00.

PUBLIC RELATIONS: Website updated

SOFTBALL COMMISSIONER: Ed reported a good turn out so far at the open gyms. There were 118 signed up- 2 Junior, 3 Major, 3 Minor and 2 Instructional teams. The 3 Seniors will have their money refunded.

BASEBALL COMMISSIONER: The Coaches’ Clinic will be held at Iroquois on March 21. Mark reported 6 T-Ball, 7 PeeWee, 6 Minor, 4 Major and 2 or 3 Junior Teams. They are working on obtaining a coach for the 13 and 14 year olds.

CHALLENGER DIVISION COMMISSIONER: Heather reported only 10 kids signed up. There are already 2 sponsors in Dean’s and Pediatric Opthalmology

UMPIRE COMMISSIONER: No new updates

TOURNAMENT COMMISSIONER: No new updates

SCHEDULING COMMISSIONER: No new updates

UNIFORM COMMISSIONER: No new updates

EQUIPMENT COMMISSIONER: Ed stated some coaches still haven’t turned in their equipment from last year. He will be ordering balls for the coaches’ meeting

FIELD MAINTENANCE: No new updates

INSURANCE COMMISSIONER: Darlene reported Ft. LeBoeuf School District does have a copy of insurance.

OLD BUSINESS: No new updates

NEW BUSINESS: Garry will check with Mike Hering regarding the Erie County Foundation monies available. There was discussion regarding having 2 loads of turface for Waterford; Jeff will get a quote from the S & S Company in Pittsburgh.

ADJOURNMENT: A motions was made by Jeff Kuzma and seconded by Mark Lockhart to adjourn the meeting at 9:16pm.
