LeBoeuf Little League

The LeBoeuf Little League held their monthly meeting at the Waterford Boro Building. The Meeting was called to order at 7:10 pm by Garry Sargent.
ATTENDANCE: Steph Mitchell, Darlene Haibach, Garry Sargent, Mark Rose, Stuart Carr, Michael Falk, Rich Goodenow, Brent Goodenow, Joe Welch, Greg Roberts, Harold Haibach, Gary Zeigler, Doug Brace, Jason Carniewski, Arnie Wolf, Jim Dylewski, Joe McCall, Mark Lockhart, Ed Vorpagel, Robert Youngberg, Brian Wilson, Bill Lavery, Bob Morgenstern, Matthew Rose, Paul Peters, Mike Hering, Matt Stebick, Christian Kaltenbaugh, Brian Smith, Kevin Smith, Jeff Jones, Earl Cameron, Rod Smith.
SECRETARY: Minutes were read and approved by Rich Goodenow and seconded by Harold Haibach.
TREASURER'S REPORT: Report enclosed. Report approved by Mike Falk and seconded by Harold Haibach.
SPECIAL PROJECTS: Need to discus sign-up cut off date for next year. A date for the draft is in the near future. All future coaches will be called and notified of draft date and time for their level of play prior to April 3. Late sign-ups will be taken by Garry Sargent, Mark Rose or Stuart Carr. Fund raiser will need to be paid at time of sign-up for any late sign-ups.
PICTURE COMMISSIONER: May 7, 2005 at Waterford Elementary.
SOFTBALL COMMISSIONER: Indoor clinics going well, a lot of parent participation as well.
BASEBALL COMMISSIONER: Indoor clinics will be schedule in the very near future.
PUBLIC RELATIONS: Web site is going fantastic. January had 600 hits, February 1,200 hits and March so far has had 400 hits.
UMPIRE COMMISSIONER: Jim enclosed a report of the 44 people that volunteered to become umpires. He has scheduled Umpire Clinics for 3 Saturdays in April. We will work on shirts/hats for these individuals. Jim will pick up the umpire booklets when he goes to Williamsport. We will look at what equipment is needed as well for the umps. Rod mentioned that perhaps the Summit Donation be met by purchasing equipment for the boxes (perhaps umpire equipment).
TOURNAMENT COMMISSIONER: No report
SCHEDULING COMMISSIONER: No report. On Draft day, schedule will be distributed for practice fields.
UNIFORM COMMISSIONER: Enclosed are three bids that Matt submitted for uniforms. A motion was made by Joe to either go with Arena Apparel or Championship Awards and it was seconded by Harold.
FIELD MAINTENANCE: Waiting for snow to go. Boys who damaged Robison fields were found, will see if they are responsible to repair damage, if not, Earl will handle this.
EQUIPMENT MAINTENANCE: Harold gave bids for certain equipment and a motion was made by Mark Rose to stay with J&S and it was seconded by Rich Goodenow.
INSURANCE COMMISSIONER: A check was made in the amount of $1,407.60 for the premium and mailed 3/11/05.
OLD BUSINESS: Doug Brace can get 2 man auger, Jeff Kuzma has an auger that you can rent for $56/day, Bobcat of Erie has auger for use as well.
NEW BUSINESS: Need to discuss sign-up time frames, how many days to sign-up and late sign-ups. Discuss Sponsorship as well. Rod spoke to Tim Hoff from Waste Management. Ownership needs to be decided on the complex to see who would be responsible for what year after year. Age cut off date for next year to be voted on by Little League International. Possibly changing date from 7/31 to 4/30. 75 copies will be made of the LeBoeuf Little League Board Members to be distributed to coaches, etc.

ADJOURNMENT: A motion was made to adjourn the meeting at 9:20 pm by Rich Goodenow and seconded by Joe Welch.
