LeBoeuf Little League

The LeBoeuf Little League held their monthly meeting at the Waterford Boro Building.
The Meeting was called to order at 8:47 pm.
ATTENDANCE: Steph Mitchell, Garry Sargent, Mark Rose, Mike Falk, Darlene Haibach, Jeff Kuzma, Stuart Carr, Mike Hering, Matt Stebick, Brian Mitchell, Steve Krolczyk, Brian Wilson, Val Rose, Matt Rose, Greg Roberts, Jim Dylewski, Kevin Litz, Frank Conti, Kevin Smith, Dave Fox, Jeff Luke and Ron Orr.
SECRETARY: Minutes were read and approved by Greg Roberts and seconded by Brian Mitchell.
TREASURER'S REPORT: Income of $70.00 and expenses of $4,410.98, Report was approved by Matt Rose and seconded by Mark Rose.
SPECIAL PROJECTS: Sold approximately 12,001 stromboli's, should have a profit of about $7,500.00. Two coaches did not participate in the sale. The last sponsorship fee has been turned in.
PICTURE COMMISSIONER: Mike had two sponsor plaques to deliver. Sonney's asked if we would move our date up by one week. Stuart made a motion to leave date as is and this was seconded by Brian. The league took a vote and all were in favor of leaving it as the first Saturday in May, therefore, next years picture day will be May 6, 2006. Team photos will be passed out at Stromboli pick up for next year. Mike was going to ask Sonney's if we could use our new logo for the team pictures.
PUBLIC RELATIONS: Philips printing is going out of business but will do our letterhead/envelopes.
SOFTBALL COMMISSIONER: All-star teams being discussed. One softball team has played 6 out of 12 games. The 11-12 year old all-star team will play in a tournament June 17-18 in Cochranton, (they won the tournament).
BASEBALL COMMISSIONER: All-star teams being discussed, need birth certificates by June 23 as well as all paper work. Rod has affidavits to pass out. All all-star teams need to get Rod their roster so a check can be sent in for district play.
UMPIRE COMMISSIONER: Some miscommunication involving both umps/coaches. Some coaches are not calling their umps when games are cancelled. Jim just picked up the rest of the shirts/hats yesterday. Need to improve the chain of communication for next season.
TOURNAMENT COMMISSIONER: All coaches doing their own thing.
SCHEDULING COMMISSIONER: Nothing to report.
UNIFORM COMMISSIONER: Matt will order all All-star shirts. Mark Rose will contact with all baseball info and Kevin Litz will contact with all softball info. All info needs to be called to Matt by June 15.
FIELD MAINTENANCE: Coaches at Complex doing a great job on keeping fields in good shape. Jeff is handling the Summit fields. Mill Village looks great. Need more rakes for next year. A bill for the yellow pipe has been turned over to Waste Management. Tim Hoff will pay Joe and then we will reimburse him.
EQUIPMENT MAINTENANCE: Harold absent, no report.
INSURANCE COMMISSIONER: All fine, a reminder if you have a claim it must be reported within 20 days of the incident.
OLD BUSINESS: No report.
NEW BUSINESS: Phil Spots from Hi T fence offered to put fence up for second entrance. Perhaps he could sponsor a sign.
We had a credit of $222.00 from the Little League Association. Garry needs volunteers for the upcoming tournament, 17 teams involved, expecting between 600-1000 people. Garry is having 2 Erie Sea Wolves players come and sign autographs. He is also working on having the State Representative stop by to take a look at the Complex. T-shirts will be on hand to be sold. Discussion on how to handle defiant players was addressed. LeBoeuf Little League day at Jerry Uht park for July 2 was discussed. Players get in free, everyone else is at a discounted price of $5.00. Park field needs longer fences, perhaps split the cost with the boro. Need to extend the fencing at field 1 & 2 of the complex. Fliers for a Base Ball camp were distributed for June 27-July 1 for 8-14 year olds, cost of $45.00.
FUN DAY: Shelly McCall and Kris Falk will be handling fun day this year. It will be held on July 4 at the park. Shelly will call the boro for approval. Kids 10 and under will receive medallions with the new logo on them. We will sell 50-50's. Equipment will be turned in as well as pants will be turned in. Once fun day is organized the coaches will be notified.
