LeBoeuf Little League
July 9, 2009
The LeBoeuf Little League held their monthly meeting at the Waterford Boro Building. The Meeting was called to order at 9:00pm by President, Garry Sargent.
ATTENDANCE: Steve Krolczyk, Jeff Kuzma, Ed Vorpagel, Bob Young, Heather Johnston, Brian Webster, Garry Sargent, Darlene Haibach, Brian Mitchell, Colleen Strain
SECRETARY: The minutes were read, corrections made and Ed Vorpagel motioned to accept, seconded by Steve Krolczyk.
TREASURER’S REPORT: Report was read by Darlene Haibach and approved by Ed Vorpagel and seconded by Brian Mitchell. See attached report.
SPECIAL PROJECTS: It was agreed upon to present Hunter Moore with a gas gift card for $100.00 instead of $200.00 as he will not need to travel to Pittsburgh for further medical treatment. There will be two portable toilets left at Waterford Complex for the month of August.
PICTURE COMMISSIONER: No new updates
PUBLIC RELATIONS: Garry has been updating the website on a daily basis with District scores.
SOFTBALL COMMISSIONER: Ed stated the Junior and Minor All Stars are still playing.
BASEBALL COMMISSIONER: Brian Webster stated the regular season is over but the Minor and Major All Stars are still playing.
CHALLENGER DIVISION COMMISSIONER: Heather reported there are 2 more games to be played. She has decided to increase the age limit to 15 instead of 12 years of age for the 2010 season. LLI has chosen the LLL Challenger Division to receive a donation from Easton Sporting Goods for equipment, such as bats and gloves (itemized list attached).
UMPIRE COMMISSIONER: Darlene stated the uniform pants can be returned to her at Heard’s. The players have until the November meeting to receive their initial pant deposit.
TOURNAMENT COMMISSIONER: Garry stated the Major Boys will be playing in Dunkirk and also the Mayor’s Cup.
SCHEDULING COMMISSIONER: No new updates
UNIFORM COMMSSIONER: No new updates.
EQUIPMENT COMMISSIONER: No new updates.
FIELD MAINTENANCE: Greg suggested LLL construct some kind of speed bump at the Complex to slow down the cars entering and exiting.
INSURANCE COMMISSIONER: No new updates.
OLD BUSINESS: No report.
NEW BUSINESS: Jeff reported the Summit Township Supervisors will be purchasing a new backstop for the Picnicana Field and also re-grading the field.
NEXT MEETING DATE/TIME: August 13, 2009 at 8:00pm
ADJOURNMENT: A motion was made by Ed Vorpagel and seconded Steve Krolczyk to adjourn the meeting at 9:54pm.
