LeBoeuf Little League

February 8, 2007

The LeBoeuf Little League held their monthly meeting at the Waterford Boro Building. Rod Smith called the meeting to order at 7:12 pm.

ATTENDANCE: Laura Lockhart, Val Rose, Jeff Kuzma, Brian Mitchell, Garry Sargent, Steph Mitchell, Brian Webster, Mike Falk, Darlene Haibach, Rod Smith, Keith Inks, Mike Herring, Bob Young, Brian Smith, Randy Amann, Stuart Carr, Steve Krolczyk, Jeff Jones.

SECRETARY: Minutes were read and approved by Stuart Carr and seconded by Mike Falk.

TREASURER’S REPORT: See attached report; approved by Brian Mitchell and seconded by Val Rose.

SPECIAL PROJECTS: Darlene made 3 sign-up kits to have at each location. Great job Darlene! Candy bars will be delivered February 13 at 1 pm at the Fire Hall. There will be 236 cases that need to be divided. Volunteers needed to help divide cases. Laura will wait until sign-ups are complete and then start working on the sponsorship job. Last year 51 wanted to sponsor and we had 32 teams. Letters need to be sent to Humes, Sonney’s and Waste Management for their sponsorships.

PICTURE COMMISSIONER: May 5, 2007.

PUBLIC RELATIONS: Garry has not yet received a pin for a sample. He hopes to have pins by picture day.

BASEBALL COMMISSIONER: Clinics have not yet started, they need volunteers.

SOFTBALL COMMISSIONER: Clinics have started and the turn out is very good.

UMPIRE COMMISSIONER: Nothing yet. There is plan to have a clinic at some point.

TOURNAMENT COMMISSIONER: District meeting is February 11, 2007 at 4 pm at the Harborcreek Municipal Building.

SCHEDULING COMMISSIONER: No report.

UNIFORM COMMISSIONER: Arena apparel held same price as last year. If we pay cash she will continue to give the 10% discount. A motion was made to go with Arena Apparel for the regular season uniforms by Garry Sargent and seconded Randy Amann. A vote was taken and all were in favor.

FIELD MAINTENANCE: No report.

EQUIPMENT MAINTENANCE: Frank is having a hard time reaching J&S. Darlene will try and reach him and see what his status is. We were contacted by a FLAG representative about donating old equipment to the Dominic Republic. A vote was taken and all in favor.

INSURANCE COMMISSIONER: Roughly $1,600.00 will be due once teams are defined.

OLD BUSINESS: Summit Township was not able to put any money in their budget towards our league. Still working on tax-exempt number. Steve will look into prices for a new size sign and have for next month’s meeting.

NEW BUSINESS: Jeff Jones will give Laura his list of sponsors to help with that job. We may check with Ted Fox or John Carr for mowing volunteers. The league received a donation of $200 by the Last Man Standing Club. Jeff Kuzma will take care of the thank you to them.

NEXT MEETING DATE/TIME: March 8, 2007 at 7 pm.

ADJOURNMENT: Jeff Jones made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 8:52 and was seconded by Mike Falk.
