LEBOEUF LITTLE LEAGUE

April 14, 2011

The LeBoeuf Little League held their monthly meeting at the Waterford Boro Building. The meeting was called to order at 8:35pm, by President, Garry Sargent.

ATTENDANCE: Garry Sargent, Trevor Donnell, Tammy Cass, Ed Vorpagel, Melissa Kingen, Rob Mulligan, Jerry Zimmer, John Clark, Rick Dauson, Kip Miller, Scott Greggs, John Holmes, Andy Dinsmore, Steve Proctor, Heather Johnston, Mark McNerney, Steve Lesik, Mark Rose, Mike Thiemann, Mike Herring, Darlene Haibach, Colleen Strain

SECRETARY: The minutes were read by Colleen Strain, corrections were made and Trevor Donnell motioned to accept, seconded by Ed Vorpagel.

TREASURER’S REPORT: Report was read by Darlene Haibach and approved by Mark McNerney and seconded by Mike Thiemann. See attached report.

SPECIAL PROJECTS: Darlene reported there are still 18 people who have not yet returned their candy money. The Stromboli orders and money are due May 7 at Picture Day and will be delivered Saturday, May 21. The Coaches’ meeting will be April 17 at 6:00pm at the Summit Township Building.

PUBLIC RELATIONS: Garry requested LLL allow some Union City Major Boys to play with LLL for Districts as they only have a few players.

SOFTBALL COMMISSIONER: There are 2 Instructional, 2 Minor, 3 Major, 1 Junior and 1 Senior Team.

BASEBALL COMMISSIONER: There are 7 T-Ball, 5 PeeWee, 6 Minor, 4 Major and 2 Junior Teams. T-Ball games will be played Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays (due to odd number of teams), PeeWee Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, Minors, Tuesdays and Thursdays, Majors Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays and Junior Boys will play Mondays and Fridays.

SAFETY COMMISSIONER: The Safety Forms have been completed and awards will be announced in August.

CHALLENGER DIVISION COMMISSIONER: Heather only has 9 players and is still working on finding other kids who would be interested in playing. It was discussed to have some of the boys and girls from other teams play to help out the Challenger Division.

UMPIRE COMMISSIONER: The Umpire Clinic date is being worked on.

PICTURE COMMISSIONER: Picture Day is set for Saturday, May 7, 2011 at the High School

TOURNAMENT COMMISSIONER: Garry is forwarding tournament information, as it becomes available to him.

SCHEDULING COMMISSIONER: No new updates.

UNIFORM COMMISSIONER: Uniforms have been ordered from Silk Screen Unlimited and will arrive in late April.

EQUIPMENT COMMISSIONER: A vote will be done at the Coaches’ Meeting to set up a date for equipment pick-ups.

FIELD MAINTENANCE: Trevor will take the Kubota and Zero Turn to Bobcat for spring tune-ups. Team Turf will be spraying the infields. The portable toilets were delivered the beginning of April—one at Waterford Park, two up top at the Waterford Complex, one between Complex Fields 4 and 5, one handicapped at Complex Field 3, one each at Waterford Elementary, Mill Village and Szall Fields. Field Clean Up day will be April 30, with rain date on May 1.

INSURANCE COMMISSIONER: Insurance paid in full.

OLD BUSINESS: No old business.

NEW BUSINESS: Little League Volunteer Application forms must be turned in by May 7; will need completed by any coach and assistant coach. A motion was made by Garry and seconded by Trevor to make a $50.00 donation to the Stancliff Hose Company and All Saints Parish in honor of Val Rose’s father. A decision was made to no longer maintain or provide a portable toilet to McCall’s Field; however, it can still be used for practices.

ADJOURNMENT: A motion was made by Trevor Donnell and seconded by Ed Vorpagel to adjourn the meeting at 10:00pm
